Privacy
What we collect, what we deliberately do not, and how to get any of it deleted.

This site
madcool.dev has no accounts, no sign-in and no comment system. It stores nothing about you in a database because it has no database. We use privacy-preserving analytics that count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you, and we do not sell or share that data.
The products
The six MadCool products do handle personal data, because most of them have accounts. What each one collects depends on what it does:
- MadCool HiFi holds business contact details and marketing performance data for dealer clients, plus lead information those clients collect from their own customers. We process that on the client’s instructions. They own it.
- MadCool Signal holds brand catalogue data, dealer listings and pricing observations gathered from public sources. It monitors and records. It does not act against anyone on its own initiative.
- MadCool Social holds an account, connected social channel tokens, and the drafts it generates. Connecting a channel grants us a token from that platform to publish on your behalf. Disconnecting revokes it. We never read private messages.
- MadCool Money holds an account, a subscription status and usage metering. It does not connect to a brokerage and cannot see your positions.
- MadCool Stuff and MadCool Games hold nothing. No accounts, no logins.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store a card number. We keep the subscription record Stripe gives us: what plan, what status, what date.
If you write to us, we keep the message so we can answer it and refer back to it later. If you subscribe to something, we keep your address until you unsubscribe, and every email carries a working unsubscribe link.
Your rights, wherever you live
We apply the same rules to everyone rather than gating them by jurisdiction. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address at the bottom of this page and we will do it within 30 days. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
How long we keep it
Account data lives as long as the account does, plus 30 days so a deletion can be undone if it was a mistake. Records we are required to retain for tax and accounting purposes are kept for seven years. Everything else goes when you ask.
Sub-processors
We run on Vercel for hosting and Supabase for databases, use Stripe for payments and Fastmail for email, and route social publishing through Postiz. Those companies process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that materially affects what we do with your data, we will say so on the page and, for anything significant, by email to account holders.
