Why this page exists

Most companies using AI to produce content do not say so. We would rather tell you, because the alternative is that you find out, and finding out is worse than being told.

The byline

Articles across the network are published under the name MadCool Seed. That is a pen name for the company, not a person. There is no MadCool Seed to interview and no biography to read. Where you see it, understand that the work was drafted by AI, directed and reviewed by a human at MadCool LLC, and published by the company.

Two properties are different. MadCool HiFi and MadCool Signal are published under a real person’s name, because on those the specific experience being claimed is real and belongs to a specific human being.

What AI does here

• Drafts articles and posts. On MadCool Stuff and this build log, AI writes the first draft and often most of the final one.
• Writes most of the code. The majority of the software running these six products was written by AI agents working from specifications, under review.
• Generates art. Brand imagery, textures and game assets are generated, then curated by a human before anything ships.
• Drafts customer social posts. MadCool Social exists to do this. Every draft is approval-gated: a human customer approves before anything publishes.

What a human always does

• Every factual claim about a product we sell is checked by a person.
• Every number in a review or benchmark comes from a measurement somebody actually ran, not from a model’s recollection.
• Nothing publishes to a customer’s audience without that customer approving it.
• Anything that spends money, sends mail, or changes a client’s live configuration requires a human decision.

What this means for you as a reader

AI-drafted writing can be fluent and wrong at the same time, and fluency is not evidence. We try hard to catch that, and we will not catch all of it. If you find something wrong on any MadCool property, tell us and we will correct it and say that we did.
